The Sun Synonyms are a series of animations, prints and digital embroideries based on patterns found in architecture, textiles, and nature in which hand cut line work and sunlight emulate surface. The forboding weight of climate change hangs heavily in the aura of these silent pieces. Light and dark push and pull at one another as traceable pattern devolves into abstraction and material breakdown.
